The Advocacy Adviser (Health) is responsible for improving the effectiveness of our global advocacy, targeting national governments and donors, particularly DFID, leading to demonstrable policy shifts and positive change for children. In this role we see you:
Developing and supporting implementation of Save the Children’s health and child survival advocacy.

Building strong relationships with our country programmes to build advocacy capacity and ensuring that national level advocacy work is delivered to international debates and decision-makers
Providing strategic advocacy support to countries to deliver on national and global advocacy objectives
We see you bringing to the role a proven advocacy experience: writing and implementing advocacy strategies and knowledge and understanding of a range of advocacy techniques. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent understanding of the Millennium Development Goals, specific understanding of newborn and child survival, key global health and nutrition issues, institutions and debates. Most of all you’ll need to be a proactive self starter, with a passion to change children's lives.
