Save the Children UK Head of New Business Surge Support - Institutional income Job In Central London, UK

As DFID has adjusted their delivery model, it has opened significant funding opportunities for Save the Children; we aim to be a leading ‘non for profit’ recipient.
Reporting to the Head of DFID Partnerships, the Head of New Business Surge Support will manage a small but highly skilled team of 7 bid managers and programme development advisors.
This role will lead the team to deliver the maximum contribution possible to the organisation’s strategic goals for children.
The role will work alongside an Institutional Partnerships Development Lead, who will focus on leadership of exceptional opportunities, both roles cooperate in coordinating resources and providing mutual support on the development of Save the Children UK best practise in large scale proposal development.
Key responsibilities will include;
*Ensuring the New Business Surge Support team contains the right experience and expertise to deliver high quality work and produce winning proposals. *Leading on the development of consortium and partnership relationships, supporting your team to develop their experience and confidence in negotiations. *Leading on an assigned portfolio of proposals and model high quality bid development practise, up to the value of around £20m.
We see you bringing to the role experience working in an INGO, consultancy or similar, ideally with experience at country level. You’ll also need to have comprehensive exposure to proposal and budget development and donor compliance, with a sound judgement to problem solving.
