World Vision Ethiopia (WVE) is
an International Humanitarian Christian Organization whose objective is
to provide holistic and integrated relief and development programs in
the country. WVE is intensifying its work with grants and is looking for
a person who can bring the office to a new level of effectiveness with
grant acquision and management.
Position: Program Development & Grant Division Director
Responsibilities (major):
• Develop contextualized vision, strategies, objectives, and functions for the division in accordance with WV mission statements and core values and strategic directions. • Oversee, guide and follow up the progress of new program development and grant division functions, roles and responsibilities. • Provide strategic leadership to develop a competent and high performing grant acquisition team focused on quality program development. • Provide leadership and guidance to develop concept notes and proposals for mobilization of resources from multi-lateral, bi-lateral companies and private sources to ensure growth and diversification of grant funding. • Ensure that the required technical support is provided to Program Offices and Area Development Programs for concept notes and proposal development for the acquisition of grant funding. • Promote effective networking and collaboration with key donors, support offices, East Africa Regional Office, FBOs, Government, Program Offices, HO Departments and other stakeholders to attract new business. • Provide guidance for the documentation and dissemination of evidence based best practices and stories to attract potential donors and other stakeholders in order to access funding and solicit resource for maximum grant program impact. Qualification: M.A./M.Sc. in Agriculture or Development Studies or Related Fields Relevant Work Exp.: At least 12 years of relevant experience in development related activities out of which 6 years in senior manager level. Experience in NGO settings and USAID funded large scale development or a relief grant project is required Strong English written skill, proven record of grant proposal development and acquisition, multi-sectoral experience is required.
